A Legacy of heart, hope, and change.

This past summer, Daniel was taken from us at 44. Still doesn’t feel real when I say it.

We met randomly at a birthday party in Denver — one of those nights where you don’t expect anything crazy to happen. And then life just drops someone in front of you who feels like they were always supposed to be there.

We bonded instantly. Dave Matthews Band. Business ideas. Purpose. Life. The big conversations that most people avoid. We didn’t. We went straight there. And from that point on — we were boys. No hesitation. No explanation needed.

Around the time of his passing, I was building E13 [the lifestyle side of Engine 13] and sketching the first line of apparel. When Daniel passed, something shifted. I felt this pull — like I had to do something that carried him forward. Not in a sad way, but in a he deserved to be remembered way. In a the world should still feel him way.

With that same spirit guiding me, I designed The DB Tribute Hat.

It’s inspired by the vibe we shared — Dave Matthews Band, fun nights, long conversations, big dreams - real life shit. But more than that, it’s about who he was.

Daniel had a heart that didn’t know how to do anything halfway. Especially with The Baller Dream Foundation — showing up for kids and young adults fighting cancer. He didn’t just show up — he poured himself into it. He made people feel seen. He made them feel safe. Loved. Like they mattered.

This hat is for that version of him.

The real him.
The best of him.

A reminder to live with heart.
To show up.
To love loud.
To care — even when it’s easier not to.

Because that’s who he was. And that’s the part of him I want to keep in the world.
